We’re not playing games – Checkers is our awesome Pet of the Week!

This young pittie mix loves exploring, so he is looking for an adventurous family who can help get his energy out through exercise and keeping his mind busy. Because he’s so spirited, he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. Checkers already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “off,” but he is still working on his manners. We think Checkers would do best with a family who is willing to work on training with him to help him become the best dog he can be.

Checkers seems to get along with most other dogs, though he may not be the right fit for every dog because of his bold personality. Due to his exuberant and playful behavior, he may also be too much for some small children.

Checkers is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.
