Pet of the Week: Pearl
This girl needs a new home in the New Year – meet Pearl, our Pet of the Week!
She was brought in by a good Samaritan last May, and thought she had found her forever home. Unfortunately though, Pearl had to come back to us because her adopter was allergic. They did say that Pearl was a great pet, potty trained, and super well behaved.
Pearl’s caregivers have come to know her as a quite a gem. When she first arrived, she was very nervous and didn’t know what this place was all about. But she has warmed up and really come out of her shell! Pearl has been on several adventures with volunteers while being here, and they all have fallen in love.
Pearl is great on walks and also loves to stop for snuggles. Whether she’s curled up on the couch for a night in, or in the front seat of the car for an adventure out, this girl is ready to be a part of the family and love you forever!
She is a very smart dog, and knows sit, stay, come, and more – and she can’t wait to learn more! Pearl is full of energy and loves to play. That’s why she’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. She tends to calm down more when the people around her stay calm, and does best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her active mind busy.
Pearl’s caregivers have observed that she might not get along with other dogs. She may do best as the only dog in her new home, or need to meet other dogs in the home first.
Are you willing to work with Pearl to help her become the best dog she can be? As with all pets from Regional Animal Services, Pearl comes spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Her adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance from Trupanion.
