Pet of the Week: Pearl
We have a real gem for Pet of the Week: meet Pearl!
This young pittie was brought to RASKC by a good Samaritan. When she first arrived, Pearl was very nervous. She has since come out of her shell to show her shining personality – which we call “Rambunctious Red.”
Pearl is a very smart dog – she already knows sit, stay, come, and shake! She is also full of energy and loves to play. She does best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her active mind busy.
Because of Pearl’s high energy and nervousness with new people and in new situations, we believe she would do best in a home without children. Caregivers have also observed that she might not get along with other dogs. Pearl may do best as the only dog in a new home, or need to meet other dogs in the home first.
She is still working on her manners, so she would do best with a someone that is knowledgeable, dog savvy, and willing to work with Pearl to help her become the best dog she can be.
As with all adoptions from RASKC, Pearl comes spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and the option of 30 days of pet health insurance through Trupanion.
You can see Pearl in person at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent, or online at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
