Pets of the Week: Smidgen and Tidbit
We have a special two-for-one this week: introducing Smidgen and Tidbit!
These senior miniature poodles were brought in a couple of weeks ago by a resident who found them. Smidgen and Tidbit love spending time together and are always found curled up together on their bed. These two are affectionate lovebugs who would love to cuddle up with you at home!
Smidgen has an adorable snaggle-tooth that adds to his character. Tidbit is also very charming, and has an adorable squeal she makes when she’s happy.
Because these two are older dogs, they will have some special care needs. Tidbit has no teeth, so she will need to be on a soft food diet. Our staff and volunteers will be happy to talk to you about their needs when you visit.
Tidbit seems to get along with other dogs, but Smidgen may not. He would do best as an only dog, or better yet being adopted with his friend Tidbit! Both of these adorable pups would do best in a calm, quiet home.
Smidgen has a “Bashful Blue” personality, and likes to take things slow. He may get nervous in new situations. He just needs some time to warm up and he will be a very devoted friend! Tidbit is “Easy-Going Green,” meaning she is an adaptable girl who goes with the flow, outgoing and carefree.
If your heart and home is big enough for two additions, Smidgen and Tidbit would love to go home together for a discounted adoption fee of $60 for the pair. And best of all: if you adopt them together, you can get two (that’s right, TWO!) pizza parties courtesy of Big Mario’s Pizza since Smidgen and Tidbit are this month’s “Cause for Paws” pups.
Both Smidgen and Tidbit are current on vaccinations and microchipped. Their adoption fees include a certificate for a free veterinary exam and the option of 30 days of free pet insurance through Trupanion.
You can find out more about this lovable duo on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet, or visit them in person at our Pet Adoption Center in Kent.
