Happy Tails times five!

As our regular readers know, we love hearing “Happy Tails” from our RASKC alumni. Even better is when we get pictures of adopted pets in their new homes! Here are a few stories that have come in to us over the last week.

From Courtney:
“We adopted two cats March 22 from the Covington Petco where I work, and they are the sweetest babies in the whole world. Thank you guys for being so nice. We changed their names: the new names are Cheddar Cheese and Pepper Jack!”

From Melanie:
“My husband and I adopted ‘Georgie’ on March 28, and he is already fitting right in! His new name is Dexter, and he is getting along with our other cat, Bob, just fine. Dexter is very lovey and expressive, though he doesn’t like to be picked up. He is very curious and loves exploring the big house.

“Before we adopted him, your people told us he had been returned to the shelter once before because he wouldn’t come out of hiding. He only hid once when we brought him home, and that was for maybe five minutes. He has a deeply loving personality, and he goes crazy for wet food and kitty treats.”

From Lorelei:
“Last month I adopted Mooch from your Kirkland Petco location. Mooch has been my best friend since! I really love him, and happy I was able to bring him in my life.”

This is from Nancy: “Two great cats from [RASKC]. Here’s Lulu who came home with us in October.”

And not to leave the dogs out – here’s a note from Emilie:
“Thank you for taking care of [Moonshine] for a few days last summer until I was adopted. I have a great life now!”

Thank you to Courtney, Melanie, Lorelei, Nancy, and Emilie for giving these cats (and dog!) new fur-ever homes! If you’d like to share your Happy Tails with us, you can email pets@kingcounty.gov or message us on our Facebook page.
