Pet of the Week: Gertie
That’s one good-looking cat for Pet of the Week!
Gertie is a ten-year-old girl looking for her fur-ever home. She came to RASKC as a very difficult cat to manage, and was placed in our foster program to see if some home love and care could calm her. Thanks to her foster family, Gertie is a changed cat. She still has opinions on how things should be, but enjoys being petted and brushed, and has a rumbling purr she readily shares.
Gertie would like a home where she can rule over her own private space as the only kitty. Since she’s so strong-willed, Gertie needs a forever family who is willing to learn her signals and respect her limits. Winning her heart is well worth the patience it will require!
Gertie is litter box trained, spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes 30 days of pet insurance through Trupanion and a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice.
Check out Gertie’s profile on our website, www.kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. Right now, Gertie is in a foster home. Feel free to contact her foster mom Melodye at melodyej63@msn.com with questions.
We hope to see you soon!
