Pet of the Week: Spencer

Our Pet of the Week Spencer wants a new home for the New Year!

This six-year-old boxer mix loves meeting new people. While a bit shy at first, if you’re calm and let him get used to you, Spencer will soon be wagging his tail!

Spencer is a sweet boy that is good on a leash and loves going for walks. He also knows how to sit on command, shake paws, and takes treats gently.

Due to his initial shyness, Spencer would do best in a home with older kids who understand he needs time to get used to them. He will also need to meet any current dogs in your home before being adopted.

Spencer can be a bit loud when seeking attention, so he would do best in a house rather than an apartment. He has been diagnosed with dermatitis (a skin condition) that is aggravated by allergies, so he may need to be on a special diet such as grain-free foods. He is very underweight and will need a home that will help him get up to a healthy weight. The staff at the Pet Adoption Center will be happy to chat with you about Spencer’s nutritional needs.

If you’re looking for a sweet guy to join your family, Spencer would love to meet you! He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of pet health insurance through Trupanion.

And from all of us at Regional Animal Services of King County, have a safe and happy 2017!
