100 happy reunions in July!

While we really enjoy finding new homes for pets, some of our favorite moments come from reuniting lost pets with their loving families. This July, we’re happy to report that we were able to help 100 stray pets get back home!

July is typically the peak month for strays, as many pets get spooked by Independence Day fireworks. That’s why we always say that licensing and microchipping your pet are so important. Pets with proper identification are far more likely to get home. Another big help is our Lost Pets service, where pet owners can get helpful tips and post notices about their missing furry friend.

In addition to 100 happy reunions, we also found great new homes for 285 cats, dogs, and other creatures. And thanks to our collaborative partnerships with Pasado’s Safe Haven, South County Cats, and other organizations, we were also able to spay or neuter 357 pets, which helps reduce pet overpopulation in our region.
