Meet Pam! Pam has been an excellent foster volunteer since 2003. Her caring nature has spanned from taking in sick adults, to hospice cats, caring for pregnant dogs and their puppies. A phenomenal volunteer, Pam has been committed to reuniting lost pets with families through the Mission Reunite volunteer program. Read our Q&A with her below:

Q: How did you hear about RASKC?

A: I can’t really remember but I’m sure I just looked it up to volunteer

Q: What made you want to volunteer, especially to work with animals?

A: I’ve always loved animals and had volunteered before in CA also.

Q: What do you do when you aren’t volunteering at RASKC?

A: My favorite place is the off leash dog park. I also play softball and like to spend time with friends

Q: What is your life motto?

A: Do no harm

Q: What is your favorite park to take your dog for a walk?

A: Either the park in FW or Grandview park

Q: What’s the best thing about your cats?

A: I love to cuddle and pet them. I have one especially loving cat, she’s awesome.

Q: How would you describe your cats’ personalities?

A: I have 4 right now and 1 hospice from you. They all are a bit different.

Q: What is the best advice you would give people who want pets?

A: ALWAYS spay/neuter and chip. Be prepared to care for them for LIFE

Q: Describe a memorable moment you’ve had with an animal?

A: Too many but I used to enjoy being able to adopt the cats out from my home so I could meet the new owners. Made me feel a bit better. I’m still in touch with some of them.
