Pet of the Week: Poppy
She may look serious here, but our Pet of the Week also has a playful side.
Poppy is a ten-year-old black DSH. This sweet girl can be very nervous at first, but if you go slow she will warm up to you. She starts purring as soon as you talk to her and doesn’t stop!
Poppy likes playing with her rope toy, but she wasn’t too keen on getting out of her “nap cubby” during her photo shoot. Still, she enjoyed some gentle pets from the volunteer photographer.
Due to her initial nervousness, Poppy would do best in a home without small children. This girl does have a heart murmur which may require specialized care in the future. RASKC staff will be happy to answer any questions you have when you come for a visit.
If you are looking for a shy but sweet older girl to join your family, Poppy could be the one for you! She is litter box trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped.
