Very Special Pet: Oscar

Say hello a Very Special Pet, Oscar.

He came to RASKC as an owner surrender, but whoever brought him did not provide any information. Why anyone would want to leave him is hard to understand – he is such a sweet boy!

Fortunately we have learned a lot about Oscar, including his behavior and temperament, as he has been in a foster home for several weeks. He recently came back to the Pet Adoption Center for a permanent home. He is front declawed, 14 years old, and in pretty darn good health for a “senior” cat, having no known medical problems. He’s litter box trained, gets along with other cats, loves to be petted, and sun himself by the window. Oscar uses a sisal scratching post and eats both canned and dry cat food.

RASKC has provided the much of what he needs including food, shelter, and basic medical care. As he is in the hospice program due to his age, Oscar will continue to be cared for by RASKC. Oscar needs a home without young children due to his age. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and gets along well with other non-aggressive cats. He needs an indoor-only home as he is declawed.

Please consider giving Oscar a home!
