We have many adult cats that need foster homes immediately. So, we created the “Holiday Heroes” program that allows interested adults to foster a cat right away – with minimum paperwork and without having to go through an “official” training right away.

If you’re interested, you can foster a cat today, or anytime between now and the New Year.

To become a Holiday Hero, contact RASKC Foster Care Coordinator Lori Mason at lori.mason@kingcounty.gov or 206-296-3403. Lori can answer your questions about fostering, and provide information about the cats in need. Then, if you decide to join the program, you will fill out a Foster Care Agreement and open your home to a cat in need.

Your providing a home environment for a foster cat on a temporary basis will help them feel so much better this holiday season. Thank you!

P.S. If you’d like to foster pets on a permanent basis, contact RASKC Volunteer Program Manager Sarah Luthens at sarah.luthens@kingcounty.gov or 206-296-3946. Our next “Fostering Animals 101” trainings take place in early January.
