Pet of the Week: Whisp

Get to know Whisp, our Pet of the Week!

This three-year-old pittie girl came to us after being abandoned in a park with all her belongings. When she arrived, she was very underweight. Fortunately, with lots of loving care from our staff and volunteers and a lot of hearty meals, Whisp is up to 42 pounds! Her healthy goal weight is 45 to 50 pounds, and she’s well on her way.

Whisp was very nervous and unsure about people at first. Once she realized she was safe and cared for, her personality started to shine! Now she’s all about love and attention and giving as many kisses as you’ll allow. Whisp is a sweet and affectionate girl, bringing warm, joyful energy wherever she goes.

Being still relatively young, Whisp is an active girl who likes to go on walks, run around the yard, and play hard. She has met some dogs at the Pet Adoption Center and does well with pups her own size. As always, a slow, careful introduction to other canines is recommended.

Whisp has been through a lot, but hasn’t lost her sparkle. She’s ready for a home with people who will love her, guide her, and help her become the best dog she can be. Whisp is very food motivated, so that will make training fun and rewarding.

Whisp is ready for you – are you ready for her? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including an opportunity to enroll in Fetch Pet Insurance. Fetch offers the most comprehensive plan in North America with no restrictions on breed, age, or size. Together, RASKC and Fetch are making sure pets are happy and healthy in their new forever homes! Dog adopters from RASKC also get a $40 coupon good for training from Rover.

As our Pet of the Week, Whisp’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a King County pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
