Pet of the Week: Millie

May we introduce you to Millie, our Pet of the Week?

This two-year-old pittie girl came to us in January thanks to a good Samaritan. She’s on the smaller side, so we call her a “pocket pittie,” but she’s still considered a medium to large breed dog.

Millie is a very sweet, gentle, and quiet lady. She keeps her kennel very neat and tidy. She really enjoys being around her caretakers, and loves it when they can spend time with her. Millie is excellent on a leash and loves going for walks. She knows a few commands, but could use some help learning more. Thankfully, she’s very treat motivated and eager to please.

Millie seems to do well with children, but should meet any kids first before she goes home with a family. She has not interacted with any cats. She does well with playmates at the Pet Adoption Center, but if you already have a dog in your home a slow introduction would be best.

Are you ready to fall in love with marvelous Millie? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including an invitation for Fetch Pet Insurance. Fetch offers the most comprehensive plan in North America with no restrictions on breed, age, or size. Together, RASKC and Fetch are making sure pets are happy and healthy in their new forever homes!

As our Pet of the Week, Millie’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a King County pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Millie is currently being cared for in a foster volunteer home, so visit our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet and look for information about the Foster Adoption Path or to fill out a Foster Interest Form.

We have so many dogs, cats, rabbits, and other great pets waiting to meet you – come see them at the King County Pet Adoption Center! We’re located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
