Out of caution due to the ongoing flood emergency and recent damage from storms, we are limiting operations at the Pet Adoption Center until further notice.

We are asking residents to:

• Avoid bringing stray animals into the shelter. Instead, use the tips we have at kingcounty.gov/FoundAPet, using websites and social media to reunite stray pets with their owners.
• Hold off on surrendering a pet. Connect with friends or family for temporary pet housing if you live in a flood-impacted area.

Also, because many roads in the Kent Valley are closed or restricted due to flooding, we ask that prospective pet adopters hold off on visiting the center during the current situation. We will be moving most of our animals to foster homes or other offsite locations.
