Antenna, a black male German Shepherd dog

Pet of the Week: Antenna

Antenna is sending you a signal – our Pet of the Week wants to be adopted!

This one-year-old German Shepherd came in to the Pet Adoption Center in mid-August.

Our volunteers say Antenna is eager to please, easily takes direction, and enjoys attention! He also has a beautiful shiny black coat. Caregivers say he’s very smart, because he already knows many commands, including sit, shake, and down. When he’s on a walk, Antenna waits patiently on the corner until it’s time to cross the street. He would benefit from continued training and a “job” to do to keep his mind busy. Because he’s so active, Antenna would do best in an adults-only home, or one with older children.

Are you ready to welcome Antenna into your life? He is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance from Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Antenna’s adoption fee is reduced, but a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

We have lots of great dogs, cats, rabbits, and other critters waiting for their fur-ever homes. You can see them all at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. Adoption hours at our center in Kent are noon to 5pm weekdays and noon to 4pm on weekends. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
