Pet of the Week: Ramsey
Former Pet of the Week Ramsey still hasn’t found a fur-ever home – so we’re trying again!
This six-year-old pittie boy has a big heart and even bigger love of treats. That’s good, because at just shy of 50 pounds, he’s a little underweight. When at a healthy weight, Ramsey would be considered a large breed dog.
Ramsey has been in a foster home, and they tell us he did great! He’s already potty trained and crate trained, and also does great on a leash. He does well with other dogs his size who have a full-contact playstyle, and he loves to wrestle. Ramsey can be a bit unsure about new people and things, so his new family will need to give him some time to settle in and feel safe. He would do best in a calm, quiet home without young children, or in an adults-only home.
Can you give Ramsey the loving home he deserves? He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a rebate on training from Rover. Best of all, you can adopt Ramsey right now for just $30 – the cost of a pet license. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
We have dozens of dogs, cats, rabbits, and other pets waiting for their fur-ever home – why not come see them? We’re open noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends for pet adoptions. Our Clear The Shelters promotion runs through August 31. You can see all the adoptable animals on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
