Pet of the Week: Ramsey

Say hello to Ramsey, our Pet of the Week!

Ramsey is a shy, six-year-old male Pit Bull. He needs your love and care as he has most likely been on his own for a while. He was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on June 3, 2025.  At 48 pounds he is quite underweight. When at a healthy weight he will be considered a large breed dog.

He will sit for treats, but watch your fingers as he is still learning his manners. He is unsure of new things and people so he needs a patient family who understands that he is a work in progress.  He would do best in a calm, quiet home without younger children (fast movements and loud noises startle him).  He walks well on a leash and appears to be potty-trained. He is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality.  He would do best with a family who is willing to work with him and help him become the best dog he can be.

Ramsey is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online dog training through GoodPup. Because he’s our Pet of the Week, Ramsey’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
