Pet of the Week: Galloway
Pet of the Week Galloway is looking for his people!
This two-year-old Newfoundland mix is full of energy and loves to play. At 75 pounds, he’s considered a large breed dog.
When he’s out of his kennel, all Galloway wants to do is get belly rubs and be near you. He loves getting affection, and would make a GREAT cuddle buddy. Caregivers have noted that Galloway is a “water dog,” and loves splashing around in a kiddie pool. He also gets along great with other dogs, and has been a Playgroup Pal at the Pet Adoption Center. Since he’s so full of energy, not to mention his size, Galloway would do best in an adults-only home, or one with older children.
Galloway was stressed out in the shelter environment, so he’s currently staying with one of our awesome foster families. If you’re interested in adopting Galloway, find his profile on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet and fill out a Foster Interest Form to start the process. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. As our Pet of the Week, Galloway’s adoption fee is reduced, but a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
