Pet of the Week: Aurora

Put a little light in your life by adopting Aurora, our Pet of the Week!

This two-year-old Akita mix came in to the Pet Adoption Center earlier this month. At 65 pounds, she’s considered a medium to large breed dog.

Aurora’s previous family said that she’s very sweet, easy to have around, and very adaptable. They also said she did great being left at home while they worked during the day.

Aurora is a smart and outgoing girl. She enjoys going on walks, playing fetch, and exploring. She already knows basic commands, and seems to get along with other dogs her size. Aurora would do best in an active home with a consistent routine, and with people who understand that she may need a bit of time to warm up.

Ready make Aurora yours? She’s spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance from Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Since she’s our Pet of the Week, Aurora’s adoption fee is reduced, but a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
