Pet of the Week: Cassie

Get to know Cassie, our Pet of the Week!

This senior German Shepherd mix came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about her past. However, her scars and missing hind foot suggest she had a rough life.

Cassie can be shy, and it takes her a little time to warm up to new people. When she does, though, she is a calm and easy-going companion. She is very food motivated, and will snatch up treats faster than lightning! She will do best in a calm and predictable home that can give her time to adjust and get a taste of the good life.

Cassie is a little overweight, so her new family will need to work with her and a veterinarian to help her slim down. As a “tri-pawed” dog, keeping her lean and fit will be important to her health. Cassie had a rough start, but she’s a gentle girl that likes to take things slow. Once she gets to know you, she will be a very devoted friend!

Can you give Cassie the awesome home she deserves? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Because Cassie is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a King County pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
