Barbosa, a black male Rottweiler mix dog

Play ball with Barbosa, our Pet of the Week!

This four-year-old Rottweiler mix is a staff and volunteer favorite. At 71 pounds, he’s considered a large breed dog.

Barbosa is a shy but well-mannered boy who loves to play fetch, chase balls, go on walks, and just be around his people. He is one of our Playgroup Pals, and seems to do well around other dogs his size. As always though, a slow introduction to other pets in his new home would be best.

If you and your family are ready to fall in love with Barbosa, he’s ready for you! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Since Barbosa is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee is reduced. A pet license fee may also apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Come visit Barbosa and all his friends soon! The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. You can see all the animals available for adoption anytime at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
