Pet of the Week: Hubert

Get to know Hubert, our Pet of the Week!

This young Belgian Malinois mix was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by a good Samaritan in early March. At 50 pounds, Hubert is considered a large breed dog, but he is a little underweight for his size.

Hubert is very smart and full of energy. He’s currently practicing his commands like “sit.” He loves to play, and does best when he has lots of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy. He is still working on his manners, so he will need people who are willing to work with him to become the best dog he can be.

Hubert is one of our Playgroup Pals! When you visit him at the Pet Adoption Center, be sure to ask our staff or volunteers about his interactions with other dogs.

Can you help us find a home for Hubert? He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. As our Pet of the Week, Hubert’s adoption fee is reduced, but a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

We have dozens of dogs, cats, rabbits, and other pets waiting for their fur-ever home – why not come see them? We’re open noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends for pet adoptions. You can also see all the adoptable animals on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
