Pet of the Week: Gibson

Rock and roll with Gibson, our Pet of the Week!

Gibson was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by a good Samaritan in late February. At 70 pounds, he’s considered a large breed dog.

Gibson can be shy and unsure of new people and things at first. He’s a huge foodie though, so he can be won over with treats! He takes them gently and will happily sit and shake for them. With a little time and patience, Gibson will warm up to you so you can see how sweet he is!

Gibson loves to play fetch and walks nicely on a leash. The person who brought Gibson in said he was very excited when he met other dogs in their home. As always, a slow introduction to other dogs in a home is best. Gibson is also still working on his manners, so he will need people who are patient and can help him become the best dog he can be.

If you’re looking for a dog with a fun-loving personality, Gibson could be the one for you! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Along with all the love and snuggles he will give, Gibson’s adoption comes with many benefits including 30 days of free opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Gibson’s adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

We’d love to see you at the Pet Adoption Center! We’re located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends.
