Pet of the Week: Valkyrie

Get ready to ride with Valkyrie, our Pet of the Week!

This senior boxer mix was brought in by a good Samaritan in late January. At 60 pounds, she’s considered a large breed dog.

Despite her age, Valkyrie is full of energy and loves to play! She does best when she gets lots of exercise and activities to keep her mind busy. One of her favorite activities is to run around in the yard and smell ALL the smells.

Valkyrie is very affectionate, and enjoys being loved on. She is also a huge fan of treats and will happily “sit” and “shake” for them.

Can you welcome Valkyrie into your heart and home? She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. During our “Share the Love” dog adoption special, you can take Valkyrie home for $50, though a pet license fee may also apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends.
