Pet of the Week: Fender

Get to know Fender, our Pet of the Week!

This four-year-old pittie mix boy is looking for his fur-ever home. At 77 pounds, he’s considered a large breed dog.

When Fender first arrived at RASKC, he was a bit shy, but he’s starting to come out of his shell. The way to Fender’s heart is a tennis ball – he absolutely loves playing fetch! He will even drop the ball in your lap so you can throw it for him, over and over. Fender also enjoys butt scratches and will lean into you to tell you he wants more. He keeps a clean kennel, which suggests that he is potty trained. Fender also has great leash skills and enjoys lazy walks.

Fender may do best in an adults-only home, or one with teenage children. He is a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. Fender may get nervous in new situations, so he is looking for a home with people who understand that he might take some time to warm up. Once Fender gets to know you, he will be a very devoted friend!

Fender is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. During our “Share the Love” special in February, you can adopt Fender for just $50! A pet license may also be required. Learn about all the benefits that come with a King County pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
