Pet of the Week: Sierra
Do you resolve to welcome a new pet into your family in the new year? Consider Sierra, our Pet of the Week!
Sierra is a five-year-old female Pit Bull dog, gray and white (ID #A720379). She was brought in by a good Samaritan on November 21, 2024. At 40.5 pounds, she is considered a medium breed dog.
Sierra is very smart. At the shelter she is practicing how to “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “down” and “shake.” She is an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home! She also has an independent side and likes to do her own thing at times. She is full of energy and loves to play. She tends to calm down more when the people around her stay calm. She does her best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her mind busy.
A spirited dog with a fun-loving personality, Sierra is still working on her manners. She would do best with a family where someone is available to work with her and be patient while she learns. It’s important to be consistent with her and socialize her.
Sierra is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion. She was nominated for Pet of the Week on December 31, 2024. This means that her adoption fee has been reduced. This adoption fee includes a King County pet license (if applicable). This helps her safe return home should she become lost, and comes with additional benefits such as Vacation Pet Alert, Free Ride Home and more. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
