Pet of the Week: Goldie

This precious pup is Goldie, our Pet of the Week!

Goldie came to us as a stray, and is now looking for her fur-ever home. At 46 pounds, she’s considered a medium to large breed dog.

Goldie is just a bit over a year old. She’s a sweet, bouncy, and energetic girl. She loves life and being very active! Goldie is also a big fan of food, and has a special place in her heart for puzzles that keep her active mind busy. Because Goldie is so bouncy and energetic, a home with adults only, or with older children, would be best.

Caretakers at the Pet Adoption Center have noticed that Goldie does well with other dogs her size. She likes to chase them around the play yard and even wrestle a bit. When meeting a new dog in her new home, a slow introduction would be best. Goldie can get riled up, so she would love a friend who can help her keep calm.

Goldie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. During our “Home for the Holidays” dog adoption special, you can take Goldie home and we’ll waive the adoption fee, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. We will be closed on January 1 for the New Year’s Day holiday. You can see all the animals available for adoption anytime at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
