Pet of the Week: Lydia
Let’s find a home for Lydia, our Pet of the Week!
This two-year-old pittie mix was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by an animal control officer in late October. At 56 pounds, Lydia is considered a large breed dog.
Lydia has plenty of energy and loves to play! She also loves treats and toys. Because of her size and energy level, Lydia would do best in a home with older children, or with adults only.
She is a gentle and loving dog that likes to take things slow. Lydia sometimes gets nervous in new situations, so her people will need to understand that she may take some time to warm up to them. Once she gets to know you, Lydia will be a devoted pal!
Lydia is ready for you – are you ready for her? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. During our “Home for the Holidays” special now through December 31, you can adopt any dog for no fee – just the cost of a pet license, if applicable. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. We will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday. You can see all the pets we have available for adoption at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
