Pet of the Week: Seiko

“Watch” out because here comes Seiko, our Pet of the Week!

This young brown tabby cat was abandoned at the Pet Adoption Center in late September, along with her kittens Rolex and Swatch.

Seiko can be a bit shy at first, because shelter life is so new to her. If you approach her slowly, and give some chin scratches, she will happily lean into them!

Seiko likes to take things slow, so she will need a home with people who understand that she may need some time to warm up. She would do best in a calm, quiet home without young children, as fast movements and loud noises startle her. She will need time to acclimate to a new environment. A small, quiet room with her food, bed, and litter box will be ideal until she’s comfortable enough to start exploring her new loving home.

If you take the time to get to know her, Seiko will be a very devoted friend! She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion. Because she’s our Pet of the Week, Seiko’s adoption fee has been reduced, but a pet license fee may apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

You can visit Seiko and all of her friends at the Pet Adoption Center, 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends.
