Pet of the week: Malmoe

Here’s a gentle and loving senior cat for Pet of the Week – meet Malmoe!

His previous owner brought this 17 year-old male cat to the Pet Adoption Center. He is a gray, domestic shorthair and may prefer to be an outdoor only cat. He looks a little rough around the edges because he recently had eye surgery.

Malmoe likes to take things slow, and may get nervous in new situations, so he is looking for a family who understands that he might need some time to warm up. Once he gets to know you he will be a very devoted friend!

Malmoe is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion. Adopt Malmoe for $30, which includes a King County pet license, if applicable. Learn about all the great benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

You can find out more about Malmoe and all his friends on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
