Pet of the Week: Sanderson

This big boy has a big heart – meet Sanderson, our Pet of the Week!

This three-year-old Akita/Belgian Malinois mix dog came to us in mid-August thanks to a good Samaritan. At 76 pounds, Sanderson is considered a large breed dog.

Sanderson is big on affection, and is an absolute lovebug. He’s also full of energy and loves to play. He does best when he gets lots of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy. Sanderson is still working on his best doggy manners, so he will need a home without young children, and where his people can help him become the best dog he can be.

Do you have room in your heart and home for Sanderson? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance from Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training through GoodPup. Since he is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Come down to the Pet Adoption Center soon to meet Sanderson and all his buddies! We’re located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Walk-in adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. You can see all of our adoptable pets online at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
