Pet of the Week: Jagar
This Pet of the Week has some moves – meet Jagar!
This four-year-old Alaskan Husky mix came to us in mid-August. At about 40 pounds, he’s considered a medium-breed dog.
Jagar is an affectionate lovebug, but likes to give it at his own pace. He’ll let you know by poking you with his nose. Like most Huskies, Jagar has an independent streak and likes to do his own thing. Huskies are also known for having temper tantrums – including loud howls – when they don’t get their way. His new family will need to be familiar with his breed characteristics.
He’s still pretty young, so Jagar is full of energy and loves to play! He will need lots of exercise and activities to keep his active mind busy. Huskies are also known escape artists, so a secure home and yard will also be crucial.
Jagar is outgoing and carefree, and would love to find a home that fits his personality. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. And through September 10 during our “Clear The Shelters” special, you can adopt Jagar (or any dog or cat) for just $30 – the cost of a pet license. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
