Pet of the Week: Tracks

Make tracks to meet Tracks, our Pet of the Week!

This three-year-old Alaskan Husky/German Shepherd mix came to the Pet Adoption Center in mid-June thanks to a good Samaritan. At 64 pounds, he’s considered a large breed dog.

Tracks is a handsome boy who would love to cuddle up with you at home. He is full of energy and always ready to go! Tracks loves to run around playing with his toys and doing “zoomies” all over the place. He will need lots of exercise and activities to keep his active mind busy.

Tracks is part Husky, so if you’ve never owned one before you’ll want to do research. Huskies are known escape artists and have very strong personalities. Tracks is still working on his manners, so he will need a home with people who will work with him so he can become the best dog he can be. Tracks seems to do well with other large dogs, and we believe he could do well in a home with another big dog with the proper slow introductions.

Interested in taking Tracks home? He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Tracks’ adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Come visit us at the Pet Adoption Center weekdays from noon to 5 p.m. or weekends from noon to 4 p.m. to see all the great pets we have waiting for you. You can also see the bios of our adoptable animals at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. If you have questions, feel free to contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
