We’ve got a triple treat for Pet of the Week this time – meet Bentley, Penny, and Maisey!

These three female ferrets were brought in by an animal control officer in mid-May. They are siblings who have been together their whole lives, and would love to be adopted together!

Bentley, Penny, and Maisey are seven months old. Like all ferrets, they are social, very playful, and can be loving companions. Ferrets have been domesticated for thousands of years, but they do require knowledgeable owners since they have needs that are different from other house pets. You can learn more about pet ferrets from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Bentley, Penny, and Maisey have outgoing and carefree personalities, and can’t wait to find their fur-ever home. Since they were nominated as our Pet of the Week, their adoption fee is reduced. There is also no pet licensing requirement for ferrets in King County.

Don’t forget that we also have lots of other pets at the Pet Adoption Center waiting for new homes. If a dog is more your speed, we’re waiving the adoption fee on all dogs through the end of June. See profiles of all our adoptable animals at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet, or visit the Pet Adoption Center at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Walk-in adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. If you have questions about pet adoption, contact us at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
