Pet of the Week: Miner
No need to dig deep to find a great companion – here’s Miner, our Pet of the Week!
This young Rottie mix was brought in by a good Samaritan in mid-September, so he’s been with us a while. At 62 pounds, Miner is considered a large breed dog.
Miner is full of energy and loves to play. His favorite toys are squeaky toys and tennis balls. He does best when he has lots of exercise every day, and activities to keep his mind busy.
He does have a shy side, so Miner is one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets. He would do best in a calm, quiet home without children. While he may take some time to warm up to you, once he does Miner will be your best cuddle buddy for life! Caregivers at the Pet Adoption Center have noticed that Miner doesn’t get along with other dogs, so we recommend that he be an “only” dog in his new home – that way he can have ALL the love and affection to himself!
Miner is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion. And since he’s our Pet of the Week, Miner’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
