Pet of the Week: Zinnia

This pretty flower is our final Pet of the Week for 2023 – meet Zinnia!

This Siberian husky was brought in to us by a good Samaritan about a month ago. She’s on the small side for a Siberian husky, so she’s considered a medium breed dog.

When she came to the Pet Adoption Center, Zinnia had an injured leg that had to be amputated by a veterinarian. She is doing well on her way to recovery! Zinnia is about two years old, and is pretty shy by nature, so she’s one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets. She just needs some time and affection in order to warm up to you – once she does, she will be a very faithful companion!

Because Zinnia is a little shy, we think she would do best in a calm, quiet home – perhaps with older children. She is a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow, and may need some time to warm up to new people.

Can you give Zinnia a new home in the New Year? She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion. Since she’s our Pet of the Week, Zinnia’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
