Pet of the Week: Watson

You don’t need the world’s greatest fictional detective to find our Pet of the Week – here’s Watson!

This male pittie was brought in by an animal control officer in mid-November. At about 60 pounds, Watson is considered a large breed dog. He has a spirited, fun-loving personality, so he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. He does best when he has lots of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy.

Watson is very affectionate, and is practicing his commands like sit, stay, shake, and come. He’s very energetic, and loves to play! He’ll need a home where he can run around to burn off energy. Watson has shown signs of resource guarding, especially toys, so he will need to be in a home with no children. He will benefit from in-home guidance to manage and improve this behavior.

Watson is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Watson’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply.
