Pet of the Week: Bobbie
Cuddle up with Bobbie, our Pet of the Week!
This beautiful girl came to us in mid-April thanks to a good Samaritan. At about 40 pounds, she’s considered a medium breed dog.
Bobbie is a four-year-old Siberian Husky that loves to play! Caregivers have noted that she does well with other, similar-sized dogs that also enjoy roughhousing and a “bouncy” play style. Bobbie is a “Rambunctious Red” personality pet, and does best when she gets lots of exercise and activities to keep her mind busy. She is also working on her best doggie manners, so she would do best in a home where her family will work with her to help her become the best dog she can be.
Bobbie has been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD. Currently, her condition is being managed with prescription food, fiber supplements, daily probiotics, and an antibiotic. She will need to continue on this strict regimen to prevent future health issues. Follow-up care with your regular veterinarian will be needed, and is a good idea with any pet. If you have questions about Bobbie’s health care needs, our staff and volunteers will be happy to provide further information.
Bobbie is all ready for you – she is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, Bobbie’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
