Pet of the Week: Casey

Casey is up to bat for Pet of the Week!

This young Siberian Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix weighs in at 55 pounds, so he’s considered a large breed dog. Casey is full of energy and loves to play, so he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. He’s very treat motivated, which will help in training.

Casey does best when he gets a lot of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy. Caregivers have noticed that he does well with other large dogs, but cannot go to a home with cats or any other small, prey-like animals. Since he’s so energetic, Casey would do best in a home with older children. If you do have other dogs in your home, he would do best with a slow introduction.

Are you ready to make a new friend in Casey? He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Casey’s adoption fee has been reduced, although a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Casey has many other friends waiting for their fur-ever homes too. You can meet them at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent weekdays from noon to 5 p.m., and weekends noon to 4 p.m. All of our adoptable animals are also online at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
