Pet of the Week: Bear
We can “bear-ly” contain ourselves – Bear is our Pet of the Week!
This young pittie was adopted from RASKC last year, but sadly had to return to us because his family was moving. At about 67 pounds, Bear is a large breed dog. He is very treat- and toy-motivated, and already knows basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down.
Bear is full of energy and loves to play – so he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. Bear’s previous family said that he doesn’t get along too well with other animals, but he has found a playmate in Cricket, one of our other adoptable dogs. When meeting another dog in his new home, Bear would do best with a slow introduction. Also, Bear was around adults in his previous home, and not around children.
As a spirited dog with energy to spare, Bear would do best in a home where he can get lots of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy. He is still working on his manners, so he will need lots of love and patience while he learns.
Do you have room in your heart and home for Bear? He’s neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. As our Pet of the Week, Bear’s adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
