Pet of the Week: Cricket

Jump on over to the Pet Adoption Center to meet Cricket, our Pet of the Week!

This young pittie mix came to us in late May thanks to a good Samaritan. Cricket is a very smart boy, and has been practicing how to sit, stay, come, and shake. He’s very affectionate, and loves playing in the yard.

Cricket still has a lot of “puppy energy,” so he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. He does best when he has lots of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy. Cricket would also benefit from in-home training with his new family to help him become the best dog he can be. With the right guidance, training, and socialization, Cricket will be an excellent companion! He seems to do well with other dogs, though a slow introduction is always best.

If you’re looking for a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality, Cricket could be the one for you! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And because he’s our Pet of the Week, Cricket’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Visit kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet to learn about all the benefits that come from a pet license.

We have many amazing animals like Cricket waiting for their forever families. Visit our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet to see them all, or visit the King County Pet Adoption Center to see them in person. The center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are weekdays noon to 5 p.m., and weekends noon to 4 p.m. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
