Pet of the Week: Kitty

Don’t be fooled by the name – Kitty is a dog that is our Pet of the Week!

This eight-year-old pittie was brought in by an animal control officer in late April. At more than 70 pounds, Kitty is considered a large breed dog – and could lose a little weight for her health.

Kitty lives with a RASKC foster family right now, where she is learning her best doggie manners. She is a very smart dog, and loves to get and give affection. Caregivers have noticed that Kitty has a gentle play style, and seems to do well with other medium- and large-breed dogs. She is a large lady, so she can’t get around quite as fast as other dogs, but she does like to keep up with the pack. As an adaptable dog that goes with the flow, Kitty is one of our “Easy Going Green” personality pets.

Do you have room in your heart and home for a pretty girl like Kitty? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. As our Pet of the Week, Kitty’s adoption fee is reduced, but a pet license fee may still apply. Visit kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet to learn about all the great benefits of having a pet license.

Kitty has many other friends at the Pet Adoption Center still waiting for their forever homes. You can visit them at our Kent location, 21615 64th Ave. S., weekdays from noon to 5 p.m. or weekends noon to 4 p.m. You can also see all their profiles online at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
